On
day 1 you will meet your Casas por Cristo rep, who will stay with
you during your time in Mexico. You will then cross the border to
Mexico and head to the Casas por Cristo warehouse to pick
up the tools you will need. You will then go to your host church to
drop off your luggage and head to the worksite.
During this day you can expect to meet the family whose home you
are building, level the ground, and pour the cement foundation.
Day 2
Day 2 consists
of wall framing, house assembly, and sheathing.
Day 3
Day 3 consists of completing
the roof, hanging stucco netting, running electrical wiring and installing
doors, windows, soffitt, and trim.
Day 4
On the last day of work
your group will stucco, insulate the walls and ceiling, drywall, and
dedicate the house.
